Saudi Arabia bans flights to India and many other countries – MacroTraveller

In a recent travel update, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia has banned flights to India and 15 other nations as there has been a re-emergence of coronavirus cases. The country banned flights to these 16 nations as these countries are seeing an increase in covid cases over the past few weeks.

The countries apart from India include Turkey, Vietnam, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Afghanistan, Yemen, Lebanon, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Indonesia, Armenia, Belarus, and Venezuela.

Additionally, Monkeypox cases are increasing across the countries of Europe, US, UK however there have been no such cases in the country yet. Abdullah Asiri, Deputy Minister of Health for preventive health said, “Until now, cases of transmission between humans are very limited, and therefore the possibility of any outbreaks occurring from it, even in countries that have detected cases, are very low”.
