Russia and India to enter into Air Travel Bubble – MacroTraveller

India has now entered into Air Travel Bubble and is due to start from February 17, 2021.

According to the new air bubble between these two countries, air carriers are allowed to fly between these two countries even though India has banned International flights till march.

It is important to understand the categories of persons allowed to travel and the rules that one needs to follow during air travel arrangements.

If you want to fly to Russia from India, one must be a stranded national or a resident of Russia. The other possibility is that Indian Nationals or nationals of Nepal, Bhutan with valid visas of Russia will be permitted to fly. However, the airlines also need to ensure that there are no restrictions to travel for Indian, Nepal, or Bhutan citizens to enter the country.

The above rules should be checked during the booking process or issuing of boarding passes.

The ministry of shipping will provide clearance for all seaman of foreign nationals and those who hold Indian Passports who should have their destination as Russia only.

The same applies to people who are traveling to India from Russia where Stranded Indian nationals, or citizens of Nepal, or Bhutan should be allowed to board flights. Additionally, people holding Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Person of Indian Origin (PIO) with passports of other countries should be allowed to board.

Those Russian citizens who require to visit India for any purpose, including their dependents on the right category of a dependent visa, other than a Tourist Visa. Also, seamen from countries of Russia would be permitted.

Aeroflot Russia a Russian carrier will be starting Moscow – Delhi flights from 12th February on Sundays and Friday’s and the returning flights will be Saturdays and Mondays each.
