The Washington Football Team still remains without a name, but owner Dan Snyder is already looking at the next steps for the franchise.
Snyder told TMZ Sports that he’s in the process of building a new stadium that he hopes to have ready as soon as 2027.
According to the report, Snyder and his team haven’t picked out a location for the new site but were in Los Angeles viewing SoFi Stadium to get some ideas on how they would like the new stadium to look.

“We’re touring stadiums,” Snyder said in the report. “We’re coming West Coast and touring. There’s about 12 of us and we’re just looking to build a new venue back home in D.C., Virginia, Maryland.”
FedEx Field in Landover, Md., has been the team’s home since 1997. The stadium seats 82,000 people.
Snyder also said in the report that he wasn’t sure if the team would have a new name by the time the new stadium opens, but he noted that the search was going well.
Washington has operated under the name Washington Football Team since July 2020, and team president Jason Wright has suggested that it might remain that way permanently.
