Border Patrol Agent Reportedly ‘Injured by Gunfire’ While Responding to Texas Elementary School Shooting

Customs and Border Patrol clarified their role in responding to the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday, which left 15 people dead as of now.

“CBP sources tell me a Border Patrol agent was injured by gunfire while responding to the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School,” Fox News reporter Bill Melguin tweeted

His tweet continued:

“Those CBP sources tell me Border Patrol was NOT involved in any pursuit in relation to this incident, despite rumors/claims they were.”

Gov. Greg Abbott(R-TX) said that the suspect was 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, and he was a student at the local high school, as RedState reported.

A mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas has claimed the lives of 14 students as well as a teacher. The suspect also shot his grandmother prior to the rampage. Others are injured, including at least one woman in critical condition. The shooter was killed by responding officers, some of which were reportedly part of the Border Patrol.
