Roommates, Easter is less than two weeks away and popular soda brand Pepsi has decided to get in on the festivities with the help of legendary Easter candy brand Peeps. Pepsi and Peeps have teamed up to launch a new marshmallow-flavored soda designed to embody the taste of Easter in the form of a sweet soft drink made for spring.
We know that it isn’t the Easter season unless an abundance of sweet treats are involved—perhaps that’s why Pepsi decided to collaborate with arguably the most popular Easter candy to create a brand new soda flavor. Pepsi has officially partnered with the fan-favorite marshmallow treat Peeps, to create a seasonal marshmallow-flavored soda.
The new team-up features a set of three-pack 7.5-oz. cans in the spring shades of canary yellow, vibrant blue and bubblegum candy pink. However, there is a twist on how to get your hands on the limited time Easter-inspired soda. In order to try it, you have to enter the official sweepstakes and use the hashtag #HangingWithMyPEEPS on the social media photos of Pepsi and Peeps.
Todd Kaplan, Pepsi Vice President of Marketing, explained the decision to collaborate on the new soda flavor. “After what has been a very difficult year, many consumers are looking for new things to smile about. So, to celebrate the start of springtime, Pepsi collaborated with PEEPS to develop a limited batch of its first-ever marshmallow cola.”
While it’s being kept under wraps just how many cans of the new soda will be given out to fans, Pepsi announced that ten grand prize winners will receive “an epic collector’s package of PEPSI x PEEPS.”
