NBA legend Paul Pierce has been trending for the past few days after it was revealed that ESPN has decided to part ways with him after he went live while enjoying the company of a few exotic dancers. Nonetheless, it doesn’t look like he is sweating it as he continues to reassure everyone that he is good as he moves on.
As previously reported, Pierce was fired from EPSN after four years on the network. His termination came after he shared a video of himself last week enjoying the company of a few dancers. In the video, one woman could be seen with her arms around his shoulders, while another could be seen dancing on the floor.
On Monday, it was announced that ESPN decided to part ways with him. He posted a video of himself laughing and said, “Big things coming soon, stayed tuned, make sure you smile #TruthShallSetYouFree.”
On Tuesday, still unphased about the whole situation, Pierce posted another message to his Instagram account. He said, “I want to thank all my supporters, I want to thank my haters and everything. But look check it out, bigger and better things coming baby, don’t worry about it. You fall twice, you get up three times, just always remember to smile baby…I’m good.”
He proceeded to share another video of himself listening to Diddy’s 2001 hit single “Bad Boys For Life.”
CNN notes that the video was probably a breaking point for ESPN, which is owned by Disney. They also noted that no one was wearing masks in the video, which is a COVID-protocol that has been set up by ESPN.
Pierce was a part of a few programs on ESPN’S network, including, “NBA Countdown,” “The Jump,” and other basketball-related programming.
