NLE Choppa Speaks Out About His Recent Arrest-Claims Substances Were Planted On Him & That He Was Mistreated In The Process  – The Shade Room

Earlier this week, NLE Choppa was arrested on multiple charges, which included burglary, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of marijuana, and possession of Xanax. Now he is speaking out about the situation and claims that he was set up.

On Thursday, he took to social media to release a statement in response to the arrest. He says that he has been working to help change his life and the lives around him for the better, and unfortunately he feels like he has become a target to a “certain group of people and also the devil.”

In his statement, he said, “During this arrest, I was set up, substances were planted on me, that I don’t consume, use or own. My name was lied upon, and I was even mistreated in the process. Every media outlet, news channel, etc. covered this story to paint a picture on a new surface I’ve been working so hard to create. This case will be beat and I will walk a free man.”

He concluded his statement by saying, “It’s innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent.”

As we previously reported, NLE Choppa has been working to showcase a more positive image as he stays out of trouble. During a recent appearance on the Fox Soul show, “The Mix,” he talked about no longer smoking marijuana and said, “I started to realize what was making me think a certain way. I kid you not, I cold-turkey-ed myself a few days later and I stopped eating meat. I told my friends if they was around me smoking weed, they couldn’t be around me. I really started to cut a lot out of my life.”

He has also been using his platform to encourage his supporters to eat organically by growing their own food. He would posts videos to social media of his own garden as spoke on his changed lifestyle.

We also mentioned he was one of the voices that spoke out as he urged Famous Dex‘s team to get him some help after his supporters and peers expressed their concerns about him. Not too long after using his platform to show support, Dex entered rehab.
